These are photo documentation of a research project based on the concept of exploring surveillance watch, privacy, freedom and futurism at an edgeland: Tijuana, Mexico. After weeks of observation, we realised that there is a sense of disconnect, a bombardment of flashy yet absurd advertisement, and a perception of containment. The entire Edgeland Futurism research group curated The Future Happening consisting of multiple interactive art installations that reflects the unspeakable truths at edgelands such as Tijuana.
